The Fall 2010 Collection from Renata Morales permalink

I am so impressed and inspired by Renata Morales’ Fall 2010 collection. The output from her Montréal atelier over the last three seasons shows a delightfully idiosyncratic and highly technical style. It is a rare treat to find designers who aren’t slaves to the trend weathervane; who blaze their own trail. Below are some looks from her Fall 2010 collection.

I detect some similarity with Koo’s work in a couple of her dresses. While I thought Chelsea’s wedding dress was stunning, it’s a shame these artists don’t get a chance at that kind of exposure - they are certainly as good as, or better. Don’t you think Michelle Obama would look great in several of these outfits? I’d borrow some of Yamamoto’s shoes though - don’t like the slippers.
